Raorchestes chlorosomma - Green-eyed Bush Frog



This endemic species is extremely rare. It inhabits the evergreen forests of sholas in the south Western Ghats of India (mostly in Kerala), 1400m above sea level.

According to the IUCN Red List assessment, the population trend of this species is currently unknown. Its Extent of Occurrence is less than 100 sq km. The primary threat to its persistence comes from habitat disturbance due to large scale agricultural plantations and tourism.
