Theloderma moloch - Eerie Tree Frog


This arboreal species is rare. It inhabits inland wetlands and tropical forests in some regions of Bhutan and India (mainly Assam and Arunachal Pradesh), at heights ranging from 300m to 1,500m asl.

Conservation Status:
 

This species is listed as Vulnerable in the IUCN Red List of Threatened Species (https://www.iucnredlist.org/).

According to the IUCN Red List assessment, the population of this species is declining, and its current population size is unknown. Its Extent of Occurrence was less than 20,000 sq km, by knowing its existence in less than ten locations. The threat to its persistence comes from habitat disturbance due to logging.
