Raorchestes beddomii - Beddome's Bush Frog


This species is uncommon. It inhabits the remote tropical moist evergreen forests of the southern Western Ghats of India (mainly Agasthyamala hills in Kerala), at the elevations of 1,250m asl.

According to the IUCN Red List assessment, the population of this species is stable. Its current population size is unknown. Its Extent of Occurrence is less than 5,000 sq km but is abundant within a small range. The threat to this species is little known as it is restricted to the remote forest.
