Pseudophilautus amboli - Amboli Bush Frog



This extremely rare endemic species inhabits evergreen forests of Amboli, Maharashtra in the northern Western ghats of India (approximately 750m above sea level).

According to the IUCN Red List assessment, the population of this species is declining. The current populaion size is unknown. The threat to its persistence comes from habitat degradation due to commercial development and tourism.
